This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is between you and the operator of Venicee. By downloading, installing, or using Venicee, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not download, install, or use the software.
Venicee is licensed, not sold. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free, revocable license to download, install, and use the pre-built Venicee application for personal or internal business purposes, subject to this Agreement. This license does not grant you any rights to the Venicee name, logo, or branding except as needed to identify the software you are using.
Venicee is provided free of charge. There are no subscriptions, license fees, or hidden costs — now or in the future. You are not required to create an account or provide payment information to use the software.
You may not sublicense, rent, lease, or sell Venicee as a standalone product. You may not remove or alter proprietary notices. You may not use Venicee for unlawful purposes, to access systems without authorization, or to transmit malware or illegal content. You may not misrepresent modified builds as official Venicee releases.
Venicee and its original content, features, and branding remain the property of the operator and its licensors. This Agreement does not transfer any ownership rights to you.
Source code published on GitHub is licensed separately under the license stated in that repository. This Agreement applies to pre-built binaries downloaded from the official Venicee release channels unless otherwise stated.
Venicee may include third-party libraries or components that are subject to their own license terms. Those terms apply to the respective components in addition to this Agreement.
We may release updates, fixes, or new versions at our discretion. We are not obliged to provide updates, support, maintenance, or continued availability of Venicee or any download channel.
Venicee is designed without accounts or telemetry. Connection settings and credentials are stored locally on your device under your control. We do not receive your FTP/SFTP credentials or file contents through normal use of the software. You are responsible for securing your device and any data Venicee stores or transfers.
Venicee is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or compatible with every server or network configuration.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of Venicee shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the software — including loss of data, loss of profits, business interruption, unauthorized access, or damage to systems — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Because Venicee is provided free of charge, total liability under this Agreement is limited to zero. Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence where such exclusion is prohibited.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator of Venicee from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the software in violation of this Agreement or applicable law, or from your connection to third-party systems.
You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data, verifying downloads using published SHA-256 checksums, confirming server identities and credentials, and ensuring that your use of Venicee complies with applicable laws and the terms of any remote systems you connect to. File transfer involves inherent risks; you use Venicee at your own risk.
This license is effective until terminated. You may terminate it at any time by uninstalling Venicee and ceasing all use. We may terminate this license if you materially breach these terms. Upon termination, you must stop using Venicee and delete all copies in your possession.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Switzerland, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected where applicable.
If any provision of this Agreement is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement regarding the software and supersedes prior understandings relating to its use.
This Agreement may be updated from time to time. The current version is published on this website. Continued use of Venicee after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be reflected in the release log or on this page.
